What Edmired is

Edmired is a subscription workspace for founders who can build, and who would rather not spend six months building the wrong thing.

It takes a rough idea and walks it through the work that should happen before the code does — naming the problem, describing the customer, mapping how they solve it today, sizing up who else is in the market, writing down what you believe and how you would know you were wrong, and recording what you actually learned when you asked. At the end of it there is an explicit decision — go, refine, or pivot — with the evidence attached to it rather than asserted beside it.

If the decision is go, the same records become the documents the next step needs: requirements, an MVP scope with a defensible cut line, a roadmap, a technical design, a launch checklist.

What customers pay for

A paid plan is a subscription to that workspace, and to a monthly allowance of credits — the unit that meters the features which draft or research on your behalf. Plans differ only in how many credits they carry; every paid plan opens every part of the workspace.

A Free plan costs nothing, so you can see what the workspace is before deciding whether to pay for it. Everything is on the Pricing page: the price of each plan, the credits it carries, and and the cost of a metered action is quoted in the workspace before you run it.

How we approach it

Three things shape the product more than anything else.

We would rather show you a gap than fill it with a guess. A score with nothing behind it reads "not assessed", not zero. A field nobody has filled stays empty. Where a number is a coverage figure, it is shown with its denominator so you can see what it counted. It is easy to build software that makes a founder feel informed; the harder and more useful thing is software that is straight with them about what is still unknown.

Where something is drafted rather than established, it says so. Some features produce draft text using automated systems, and their output is labelled as drafted, carries what it was drafted from, and is never presented as a fact you established or a decision you took. You check it, edit it, and accept or discard it.

Your work is yours. You can export it whenever you like, without asking us. If you want your account and its data deleted, we do that on request — Section 11 of the Privacy Policy sets out exactly how, including the confirmation step and how long a deleted record survives in backups.

The guide library

Alongside the workspace we publish a free library of long-form guides on idea validation, customer research, competitor analysis and product-market fit. It is free to read, with no account and no card, and it stays that way — the blog is not a lead magnet with a wall behind it.
