Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-12
This policy applies to every paid plan on Edmired, operated by Mavels Tech. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. Please read it before you subscribe.
1. The short version
- You can cancel at any time, from your account or by emailing us.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not shorten the period you have already paid for — you keep access until that period ends.
- We do not give refunds. Not for a part-used month, and not for unused credits.
- We will correct a charge in the narrow cases in Section 5: a duplicate or erroneous charge, a plan we failed to provision, or a prolonged outage that was our fault.
- A Free plan at $0 exists so that nobody has to pay in order to find out what the Service is.
2. Cancelling
You may cancel a plan at any time by emailing hello@mavelstech.in from the address on your account, or through your account settings where that control is available.
When you cancel:
- Your subscription stops renewing. You are not charged again.
- Your access continues for the remainder of the period you have already paid for.
- At the end of that period your account moves to the Free plan. Your workspace content is not deleted by cancelling — see Section 8.
- Credits remaining in the cancelled period are not carried over, converted or paid out.
There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term.
3. Why we do not give refunds
We would rather tell you the reason than simply state the rule.
You do not have to pay anything to evaluate the Service. There is a Free plan at $0, listed on the Pricing page alongside the paid ones. It is not a time-limited trial that expires while you are busy.
Nothing about what you are buying is hidden until after you pay. The Pricing page publishes what each plan costs and how many credits it carries, before you spend anything rather than after. And the cost of a metered action is quoted to you in the workspace before you run it, never discovered once the credit is gone.
What you buy is delivered as you use it. A credit is spent at the moment the work it pays for is done and its output is put in front of you. That output is yours immediately, it stays in your workspace, and you can export it. Once it has been produced there is nothing to return, and the cost of producing it has already been incurred on your behalf.
Taken together: the decision to pay can be made on published information and on free use, and what is paid for is consumed on delivery. That is why fees, once charged, are final.
4. What is not refundable
- A period that has begun, whether or not you used it.
- Credits granted for a period, whether or not you spent them.
- Credits you spent, including on output you did not find useful. Automated output is a draft and can be wrong; that is stated on the Terms and on the page you generate it from, before you generate it.
- A plan you subscribed to by mistake and then used.
- A plan you stopped using but did not cancel. Cancelling is one email.
- Any amount where you have already recovered it through a chargeback.
5. When we will correct a charge
We will put a charge right, without argument, in these cases:
| Situation | What we do |
|---|---|
| You were charged twice for the same period | We refund the duplicate in full |
| You were charged an amount that does not match the published price for your plan | We refund the difference |
| You paid for a plan and we failed to provision it, and you did not use the Service on it | We refund it in full |
| A fault on our side made the Service unusable for more than 72 consecutive hours in a paid period, and you tell us within 30 days | We credit the affected part of that period, or refund it if you are cancelling |
| We withdraw a paid plan, or the Service, for reasons other than your breach of the Terms | We refund the unused part of the period you have paid for |
| The law that applies to you gives you a right to a refund that this policy would otherwise deny | That law prevails and we honour it |
An outage caused by something outside our control — an upstream provider, a network failure, an act of government — is covered by Section 19 of the Terms and is not a fault on our side for the purpose of the row above.
6. How to raise it
Email hello@mavelstech.in from the address on your account, within 30 days of the charge, with:
- the email address on the account,
- the date and amount of the charge, and
- what you believe went wrong.
We will acknowledge within 2 business days and tell you our decision, with a reason, within 7 business days. Where a refund is due we process it within 7 business days of that decision, to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer may take longer than that to show it; that part is not within our control.
7. Please talk to us before raising a chargeback
If you think a charge is wrong, email us first. Every situation in Section 5 is one we will fix directly, and faster than a dispute will.
Raising a chargeback without giving us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter is a breach of Section 9.8 of the Terms, and we may suspend or close the account while the dispute is open.
8. Cancellation is not deletion
Cancelling a plan stops billing. It does not delete your workspace, and we do not delete it for you — losing someone's work because they downgraded would be the worse of the two mistakes.
If you want your data removed, that is a separate request and we act on it: see Section 11 of the Privacy Policy, which sets out the confirmation step and how long a deleted record survives in backups.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version that applies to a charge is the version published when the charge was made. The current version is always at https://www.edmired.com/refund-policy, and the "Last updated" date at the top changes with it.
